Today in the premises of National library “Radosav Ljumović” in Podgorica, the second in series of activities titled „Inclusion of students and youth with disabilities in Erasmus + mobility programme“, within “Europe Month – Erasmus+ Month”, has been organized by National Erasmus + Office in Montenegro.
As its very title says, the event was aimed at presenting novelties within new Erasmus+ programme, focused on the opportunities available for students with disabilities, encouraging their more active involvement and participation, as well as discussing potential obstacles they might encounter during the mobility period(s) abroad.
During welcome speeches, Vanja Drljević, director of National Erasmus+ office in Montenegro; Tamara Milić, Head of Inclusive Department in the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports; Danilo Vučinić, Office of Youth in the Municipality of Podgorica; and Anđela Radovanović, representative of Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro addressed the public.
Besides representatives of National Erasmus+ Office, representatives of ADP ZID, students beneficiaries of mobilities within Erasmus+ project “School-to-Work Transition for Higher education students with disabilities in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina (Trans2W) – aimed at improvement of position of students with disabilities at the labour market, also took active part. The event served as an opportunity for the local coordinator prof. Tatijana Dlabač from University of Montenegro to present the project results, while the beneficiaries themselves shared their experiences with the public. By the same token, within Erasmus+ project “Fostering Internationalization at Montenegrin HEIs through Efficient Strategic Planning”, led by University of Montenegro, employment of one student with disability has been planned.
