We are pleased to inform you that the European Commission had organized the “HEInnovate ‘Train the trainers’ event on November 15_16 2018 in Sofia (Bulgaria), aimed to bring together representatives of higher education institutions from Western Balkan countries interested in developing and improving the innovative and entrepreneurial potential of higher education institutions.
This event represents one of concrete actions conceived as part of the New Strategy for the Western Balkan countries, adopted by the European Commission last February, and ratified at the Sofia summit in May.
HEInnovate, developed by the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), is intended to provide support to higher education institutions when developing their entrepreneurial and innovative potential. Examples of good practice were presented at the event, so that the participants had an insight into the methods used by more than 900 higher education institutions worldwide.
On the occasion, the European Commission awarded the representatives of the Montenegrin group – Asst. prof. Anđela Jakšić from the Mediterranean University and Prof. Milica Vukotić from the University of Donja Gorica – for organizing the most creative and the most innovative workshop within this event, which aimed to introduce an entrepreneurial spirit into the higher education system. Within this workshop, an extraordinary approach was presented through the analysis of Shakespeare’s verses and contemporary pop / dance / electronic music, as well as the introduction of contemporary IT technologies.
