The seminar gathered approximately 200 representatives from higher education institutions from all 33 Programme Countries as well as from the Western Balkans. The aim of the event was to stimulate contacts and participation of higher education institutions in the actions and
possibilities offered within the “Erasmus +” Programme and thus increase the number of applications with the region under the 2016 Call for Proposals by offering them concrete networking opportunities.
A particular focus was given to international credit mobility, where many Programme Countries had budget left-overs under the first selection round. An overview of the other actions (Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, Capacity Building in Higher Education and Jean Monnet) was also provided, together with some discussion on the strategic use of the programme for development in the Western Balkans.
In addition to presentation of Erasmus+ activities and possibilities for participation of institutions from WB countries at plenary sessions, the networking sessions was also organized during the seminar.
