In Brussels, from January 23rd to 25th, 2024, an event was held for representatives of national Erasmus+ offices, national agencies, and other national key points worldwide. This was an opportunity to discuss future collaboration possibilities and to create new partnerships and synergies between ICPs, NEOs, and ENFPs from Europe to Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East within the Erasmus+ program framework.
The meeting was opened by Sophie Beernaerts, Director of the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture, as well as by Filip Van Depoele, Head of the International Cooperation Sector, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission (DG EAC).
During the two-day event, the final results of the selection from the previous call from different regions participating in the program were presented. Also presented were the innovations of the new call for project proposals currently underway.
The first day of the event also included workshops for all qualified international dimension actions of the Erasmus+ program for which third countries not associated with the program are qualified to participate. The workshops focused on mobility actions (Erasmus Mundus, ICM, Erasmus+ virtual exchanges) as well as cooperation actions (CBHE, CB VET, CB Youth, CB Sport, and Jean Monnet). Participants shared experiences of implementing these actions in their countries, shared examples of good practices, as well as difficulties encountered in the implementation of specific actions.
During the two-day event, besides networking with national agencies, national Erasmus+ offices, and Erasmus+ national contact points, bilateral meetings and consultations were also organized with the relevant contact points from the Executive Agency for all qualified actions in the field of higher education, vocational education and training, youth, and sports, as well as with representatives of DG EAC.
