Today and yesterday, a Technical Assistance Mission (TAM) seminar was held in the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, entitled “Intellectual property rights and copyrights at higher education institutions,” organized at the initiative of the Montenegrin Higher Education Reform Experts, in cooperation with the SPHERE network, consisting of OBREAL Global (coordinator), the European University Association (EUA), and the National Erasmus+ Office in Montenegro.
The guest lecturer in this seminar was Mr. Filippo Silipigni (Senior Project Manager, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano), who presented the concept and intellectual property rights, spoke about patents, the valorisation of intellectual property rights and technological transfer, trademarks and design, as well as disciplines in intellectual property rights in the context of universities, on the example of Politecnico di Milano.
In the introductory part of the event, the attendees were addressed by Vanja Drljević, director of the National Erasmus+ Office, Prof. Mira Vukčević, president of the Montenegrin HERE team, Prof. Sanja Peković, vice-rector at the University of Montenegro, as well as Marica Melović, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation of Montenegro.
Prof. Marina Banović, advisor for economic issues at the University of Montenegro, and Mr. Mladen Perazić, on behalf of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, spoke about intellectual property and copyright in Montenegro.
