TAM follow-up meeting related to digital teaching and learning was held

Today, an online TAM follow-up meeting was organized after HERE seminar entitled “Digital teaching and learning” which was organized at the initiative of the Montenegrin Higher Education Reform Experts, in cooperation with the SPHERE network, consisting of OBREAL Global (coordinator), the European University Association (EUA), and the National Erasmus+ Office in Montenegro. The guest lecturer in this seminar was Mr. Antoine Rauzy, Program Manager for Digital Education at France’s National Research Agency.

The aim of the follow-up activity was to acquaint the academic community with the conclusions of the seminar and to prepare specific recommendations for further work, so that the outcomes and results of the mentioned HERE seminar are sustainable. The meeting was attended by relevant representatives of the academic community, as well as members of the HERE team.

After the introduction speech of Mrs. Vanja Drljević, Head of the National Erasmus+ office in Montenegro, who explained to the attendees the importance of organizing this type of activity, which, as already mentioned, aims to enable the sustainability of the results and outcomes of the HERE seminar, the participants were addressed by prof. Dijana Vučković from the University of Montenegro, a member of the HERE team, who discussed the pedagogical and legal foundations for online teaching and learning. Prof. Jovana Marojević and prof. Milica Jelić from the University of Montenegro, as participants in the course for creating Massive Open Online Courses, talked about the importance of MOOCs at the University of Montenegro, different segments of online teaching and different approaches to artificial intelligence, as well as the pedagogical challenges we face while we are using artificial intelligence. Bogdan Malavrazić, a student from the University of Donja Gorica, also participating in the meeting, focused on the importance of artificial intelligence, the approach of the University of Donja Gorica to the issue, the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence in general, the importance of preserving academic integrity in the context of artificial intelligence, but also disadvantages in our legislation in terms of the lack of regulations related to this area. The importance of developing critical thinking in young people, not only in students, but from the earliest age of each individual, was particularly emphasized.

It was concluded that it was necessary for the wider academic community to get involved in this topic, because this is really a topic of the contemporary world, to which we must adapt in all areas, because without full commitment we will not be able to keep up with contemporary trends in teaching and learning at the global level, bearing in mind the fact that in the future we will increasingly rely on this type of learning and teaching, but of course, through an ethical approach and the development of critical thinking.
